Let me differentiate them for you: Boyfriend jeans have wide hip area and have this baggy look up to the ankle and while Mom jeans have a high waist then starts tightening slightly at the thighs area creating a kind of slimming effect.
These days, looser fitting jeans are becoming popular, they are the perfect alternative to skinny jeans, that is the reason why I am making this post because these jeans type are not skinny both on the else fitting styles but in a different way. Boyfriend and mom jeans sport a fairly relaxed style that is entirely different from skinny jeans and choosing the right cut can help accentuate your best assets.

As you can see below, I tied my hair back. It’s already drawing attention to my head and face. Especially when you look at me as compared to my hair being down. Don’t be so afraid to show those features, because it’s a simple way to show the turtleneck also!
Tuck In The Front Of The Shirt
I’ve also only tucked in the front of my sweater. This is so it doesn’t make me look bigger and wider since this is an oversized sweater. I pulled the sleeves a little bit but it doesn’t need to be, It just added style to it.
Wear Black Pants
I also wore a pair of black pants to make my legs look longer. I am actually 5’6″ in height but my torso is actually longer than my legs and I also am a little heavy in my thighs. So when I wore black pants they created a silhouette of longer legs.
Wear Ankle Boots
Lastly, I wore heeled ankle boots to complete the whole ensemble. You could wear knee-high boots or heels with this kind of outfit, but I wanted to keep it simple and stylish! You can wear any color, but you can see that I chose something close to the color of my turtleneck sweater.
What To Wear With Turtleneck
You can’t go wrong with a pair of jeans and a sweater. If it’s cold outside, throw on a pair of boots for warmth. If it’s warm outside, try flip-flops or sandals. And if you’re feeling like something a little more dressy, try a skirt or dress under your turtleneck sweater. You can even add some heels if you want to make it extra fancy!
And don’t forget your accessories! A necklace or bracelet will help pull together any kind of turtleneck outfit and make it stand out from the crowd. You can see that I wore a simple black and gold watch, stud pearl earrings, and a pair of metal rim cat eye sunglasses. I was also carrying a bag similar to the Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Speedy 3 bag.

You don’t want to get hot while partying in the concert so you opted to wear a denim jacket but make it posh with these embellishment same with a denim top and these lovely pair of metallic pink cowboy boots, make sure to add up these sparkles.

I am dedicating this post to talk about a spring capsule wardrobe and how you can build a functional one.
What is a SPRING CAPSULE WARDROBE? These are Spring outfits thoughtfully curated to make it easy for you to interchangeably use all your closet staples maximizing the number of outfits you can create with them.
How To Create A Spring Capsule Wardrobe?
Step 1
When building your spring capsule, get all the basic or more of a classic Items that you know you can mix and match all the time! Not the once that aero trendy that you can only wear for few weeks but basically more of your personal style preference.

Start curating tops, bottoms, outerwear, shoes and accessories making sure they are more on the light weight side and adding some pops of colors.

If you live here in the DMV, and are looking for some places to go to for the weekend that is best for family and friends gathering. A day trip to Greenbrier State Park is a good way to do it.
Greenbrier State Park is a multi-use park that offers hiking, canoeing, boating and fishing, swimming, picnicking areas, and more. The park is located in the Appalachian mountains and features a 42-acre man-made freshwater lake. The visitor center is open year-round, offering information on the history of the area and its wildlife. It’s not too far from DC, probably about an hour or so. I live in southern Maryland and it was an hour and a half for us, which is not bad at all because the park is well-maintained and there are a lot of fun things that you can do there.
My advice would be to go early! When we were leaving by 2 pm, the line of cars trying to get in the park was sooooo long! Also, there’s an entrance fee of $3 per person who isn’t in a car seat but will go up this Memorial weekend to $5 per person. This is outdoor too, so there will be a lot of spaces for you to social distance!
Greenbrier State Park is a multi-use park on the shore of Lake Moomaw in Maryland. The park offers access to the Appalachian Trail, tons of nice picnic areas, and access to the beach as well as other outdoor activities. Here are some of the ways to enjoy yourself at Greenbrier State Park:
PICNIC
They’ve got tons of picnic tables here, just in case you’re thinking of celebrating something and want to do it somewhere different from your home that isn’t cramped and is outdoors. I don’t think you have to reserve them, but you can always call to make sure. We didn’t have a hard time finding any picnic areas under the shade either if you’re looking to stay cool.
BOATING, PADDLE BOARDING, PEDAL BOATING, AND KAYAKING
They have boat and pedal boat rentals, but for the kayaks and paddle boards, you should bring your own. The park’s man-made freshwater lake attracts a lot of swimmers, canoeists, and boaters. The lake is big enough for everyone to enjoy!
SWIMMING IN THE LAKE
Greenbrier State Park was a winner also since going to the other good beach was at least 3 HOURS AWAY! The freshwater lake and white sandy beach draw a lot of visitors who enjoy swimming and tanning. It was nice for my baby to play in the sand and enjoy the beach too! And there were other families there, which I loved seeing!
HIKING
The hiking trail was good according to hubby! He also went biking there too and said it was a good 5-mile hike distance. I thought Greenbrier State Park was a really great place to hike! The Appalachian Trail goes right through the park, and there are plenty of other trails to hike. Whether you’re looking for a short hike or one that will take you all day, Greenbrier State Park has something for everyone.

The park is open 7 days a week, from 8 a.m. to sunset. With daylight savings time, that could be anytime in between 5 p.m. in some of the colder months, and 7 p.m. during the warmer half of the year. If you want to see their park schedule for events and hours, click HERE.
