Spring is such a nice time of year. The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, and the dreaded winter cold has finally subsided.

Some spring days are very nice and the temperature is bearable without a heavy coat. I love this type of warmer weather – not too hot, not too cold. However, some spring days are still chilly, and require a sweater, cardigan, or light jacket. Today I am devoting this article to those chilly spring days, or early spring days.

These outfits are spring inspired, but meant to help keep you warm in case of quick temperature drops or rain. Let’s dive in to my top 3 early spring outfit ideas plus my tips for how to dress in early spring.

Knit dress spring outfit

I know a lot of you have been shopping for the coming warm, weather days so that is why I have been posting more of those outfits. Here are my top 3 Recent Spring outfit inspirations that have been mostly saved on Instagram.

Sweater Top And Ankle Boots

The first outfit is something that I am loving the most because of the color. Pink is perfect for welcoming spring. Also, I have added a statement to a very simple sweater to take it to the next stylish level. I have been thinking of getting these bee pearl brooch pins for a long time since I have been seeing it mostly on the Gucci styles. So when I searched Amazon I found these and it came in a pack of 2 one I pinned on my sweater and the other one on my old Gucci bag. This is something very Spring and it made the outfit very fresh for the season.

Plain Sweater With Brooch

The second Outfit is also another favorite very similar to the first but more on the super girly color. Instead of being a pale pink color, this second outfit is more of a berry pink. I love me some berry pink outfits and this caught my eye specially when I was looking also for a Valentine’s outfit idea. Pair your pink sweater with jeans and sandals. It is springtime after all, so it is time to break out the sandals. Don’t worry, your sweater will keep you warm!

Casual Knit Dress

The third one is this pretty dress. It is really worth the price because of the style and the quality of the material, the only thing is that it is kind of heavy if you know what I mean. Like a heavy duty type of fabric I should say. Really, this type of fabric is perfect for those cooler spring days. It is very versatile and can be styled so many different ways. And because the color is very simple, you can add a lot of different kind of layers to it like a simple denim jacket or shacket.

Above all, I love the color. It reminds me of springtime and Easter and to me, it signifies the end of the cold weather. You can dress this outfit up with heels or boots, or dress it down with sneakers as I have above. Either way, it is very adorable.

How to dress for early spring?

Consider the weather.

Is it one of those warm spring days, or one of those cold spring days? Depending on the temperature and weather conditions outside, you may need to adjust your outfit. If it’s chillier, consider a jacket and booties. If it’s warmer, consider a sweater and open-toed shoes.

In the case that it’s raining outside, don’t forget to grab your raincoat and rain boots. With the right, cute jacket and boots, a springtime rainy day outfit can be totally adorable.

Wear colors that remind you of spring.

Springtime is the time to show of your best pastels, baby pinks and blues, and light purples. If you’re not sure what colors are reminiscent of springtime, think about the flowers. In the spring, flowers usually bloom blue, purple, yellow, pink, violet, and so on.

Choose weather resistant outerwear.

The springtime is known for all the rain it brings. With that in mind, be sure to keep some weather resistant outerwear nearby for those unexpected showers. A stylish raincoat and boots should do the trick. You can keep these items in your car, or in your day bag, whichever is more convenient.

Also, be sure to wear quick-dry socks made out of wool. Wool will adjust to the temperature with you, so that your feet are not cold in the morning and sweating in the afternoon. But instead, they are able to maintain a normal temperature all day long.

Wear layers.

Like I have mentioned throughout the article, you never really know what type of weather you can experience during early spring. It could be cold or warm, or it could be raining. So, its a good idea to dress in layers in the morning so that you can adjust your outfit throughout the day as needed.

For example, you may want to start out your day wearing a long-sleeve shirt, jeans, boots, and a cardigan. As the weather warms up throughout the day, you can remove your cardigan so you are not too warm. The same can be said for a cardigan or a light jacket.

Now that I have posted this in case you missed the last post. I have shared there all about Spring shoes if you are planning to shop it is here.

I hope you find this post helpful and worthy of sharing. Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely weekend.

Simply,

Christianne
