My Chanel 19 Handbag Review

I’m beyond excited to share my thoughts on the iconic Chanel 19 Handbag that I’ve been absolutely loving. This gorgeous accessory has been my go-to for any occasion, effortlessly transitioning from casual chic to sophisticated glamour. Trust me, you’ll want to hear all about my experience with this timeless piece that’s been turning heads and making me feel fabulous!

Chanel 19 Leathers And Materials

I’ve found that most Chanel 19 bags are made from either goatskin or lambskin leather, but there are also unique options like tweed, denim, or printed silk. If you’re looking for a larger size, the Chanel 19 Maxi is a great choice with its roomy interior and gold-tone hardware. I love that it has both a shoulder strap and a top handle for versatility. It’s important to note that Chanel boutiques frequently increase their prices, so I recommend doing your research before making a purchase.

Lambskin

I chose the lambskin because of how soft and luxurious it looks. Also because the chain was gorgeous. If you choose a lambskin bag, you can expect it to be softer and the color to be more vibrant. While not as durable as calfskin or goatskin, lambskin screams luxury.

Goatskin

While I did not choose a goatskin bag this time, I am still a big fan of this type of leather. It’s very durable, more water resistant, and has a more vintage look and feel. Goatskin is also a bit more flexible than other popular types of leather.

Chanel 19 Handbag Sizes

Small Flap Bag

I got the small flap bag which is 6.2 × 10.1 × 3.5 in as you can see in the picture above. I chose the lambskin leather which is soft and the metal chain is of Gold, Silver, and Aged Silver which I love. It is considered one of the “it bags” right now. Those details that I mentioned make it very versatile. It comes in different colors but chose beige as it is a classic color and can be worn with anything. 

This is how long the straps are when you wear it on your shoulder and hand carry it with the other smaller strap too.

Large Flap Bag

No matter what size of this bag you choose to purchase, you can not go wrong with the Chanel 19 Large Flap Bag. If you like to carry more than just your phone, wallet, and a few other essentials, this might be the size for you. The measurements are 7.8 × 11.7 × 3.9 in. You can find this bag in black leather and the most adorable pink or yellow tweed.

Maxi Flap Bag

The Chanel 19 Maxi Flap bag is the most significant flap bag from Chanel and the measurements are 9.8 × 14 × 4.3 in. With this bag, you can carry everything you need for a day out with friends or a night on the town. It comes in black and dark grey leather and black and dark grey tweed.

What fits inside? 

I have a big wallet, my cellphone, and lipstick and lip gloss. That is what I always carry with me wherever I go. It also has a pocket at the back on the outside of the bag, making it even better. So when I need my phone, I can easily slip it in and out of there. Additionally, the bag’s chic design and durable material make it a perfect companion for my daily adventures.

How to keep the bag in shape? 

This is not a structured bag compared to all other classic Chanel flap bags. So I got this bag insert organizer to keep my items organized inside, but it doesn’t preserve the shape. I added this packaging bag to keep its shape while not in use. While there are several pros and cons to any bag, the lack of shape is not something I consider bad.

Where to store it?

I store it here on this shelf next to my other designer bags as I want my office to look like a boutique. But for the safest storage possible, you can put it away in a purse storage bag or box. This method not only protects the bag from dust and scratches but also helps maintain its shape over time. Also, keeping it in a dedicated storage space allows for easy access whenever I decide to switch up my bag for a different occasion.

Chanel 19 Flap Bag Price

In general, you can expect to pay a pretty penny (or two) for a brand-new Chanel 19 Flap Bag. As you explore the captivating world of Chanel 19 handbags, you’ll find that the prices delightfully dance and differ based on the size you choose.

The price tag fluctuates based on the size you desire. Intriguingly, both the leather and tweed varieties with their chic top handle and gold-tone details have an identical cost when you indulge in shopping directly from the House of Chanel’s website. You must keep in mind, the grander the bags you select, the more luxurious the price increases will become.

That’s just how it goes!

Where to buy it? 

I went to the Chanel store in Washington, DC. Some stores require an appointment but this one accepted walk-in. But if you already know what you want, make sure to call the store first to know if they have a stock of the bag you would like to purchase. You can also purchase small, large, and maxi flap bags directly from the Chanel website.

Is The Chanel 19 Handbag Worth It?

The question you have been waiting for is: Is the Chanel 19 Bag worth it?

Yes, it is.

It is small, it fits all my essential items, it has an adorable strap and most importantly, it matches almost every outfit. And it still makes my heart jump to see how it elevates my outfits and my confidence. Purchasing this bag made my birthday wish come true and I could not be happier with my purchase.

I will surely buy another one in a different color if I have the budget for it!
