Why I quit as a Physical Therapist to become a Full Time Fashion and Lifestyle Blogger?

Life is full of surprises and unexpected turns. And I have recently experienced a significant change in my career path. After dedicating 20 years of my life to being a physical therapist, I made the bold decision to become a full-time fashion and lifestyle blogger Dec of 2022. This transition may seem unconventional. But it stems from my passion for fashion that has always been present alongside my healthcare profession.

In 2015, I created my blog as a creative outlet to express my love for fashion.

It started as a side project, a way to explore my personal style and connect with like-minded individuals. Little did I know that this passion project would eventually lead me to reevaluate my career choices.

As time went by, I realized that as I was getting older, I yearned for more freedom and flexibility in my life. The desire to spend quality time with my family became a priority. And I longed for the ability to work from anywhere, at any time. While my work as a physical therapist was fulfilling, the demands of the profession limited my freedom and time with loved ones.

One of the aspects I miss most about my previous career is the camaraderie with co-workers and the joy of helping patients on a daily basis. The human interaction and the sense of making a difference in people’s lives were deeply rewarding. I must admit that working from home can sometimes feel lonely without that immediate connection.

The decision to shift my focus entirely to my blog was not made lightly. I considered the physical demands of being a physical therapist as I grew older. Realizing that it would become more challenging to lift and care for patients as time went on. With this realization, I dedicated countless hours and hard work to building my blog. Early mornings and free moments were spent creating content and nurturing my online presence.

Today, I am grateful to see the fruits of my labor pay off.

My blog has become a successful venture, surpassing my income as a full-time physical therapist. This transition has allowed me to spend more valuable time with my family, all while enjoying the comforts of home.

While my decision may raise eyebrows, I want to emphasize that it is rooted in the pursuit of happiness, fulfillment, and a desire for a more balanced life. Being able to combine my passion for fashion and lifestyle with the flexibility to dictate my own schedule has been a dream come true.

Of course, I will forever cherish the memories and experiences gained from my years as a physical therapist. The fulfillment of helping others will always hold a special place in my heart. However, this new chapter allows me to explore and share my passion for fashion. And connect with a broader audience.

As I embark on this exciting journey as a full-time fashion and lifestyle blogger, I am grateful for the support of my loved ones and the opportunities that lie ahead. Life is ever-changing. And sometimes taking risks and following your dreams can lead to unimaginable fulfillment. I am excited to see where this path takes me and eager to continue sharing my love for fashion with the world.

Simply,

Christianne
