Trend Alert: Coated Denim Jeans

What Are Coated Jeans?

It is your basic denim jeans that are coated with pigment to give them a wax-like finish. As you can see on the jeans I was wearing here, it looks like a faux leather material. But I must say it is more breathable and is perfect for Fall weather. The wax-like finish gives it shine and looks so elegant and expensive. It will definitely level up your denim jeans game. This outfit I put together here looks more like a Business casual pairing it with this super soft turtleneck sweater and the classic animal print shoes, you can never go wrong with it.

If you want a more casual look for like date nights a romantic blouse will do the work and ankle boots, but for running errands, you can pair it with sneakers and a regular sweater on top or a hoodie if you want. See more tips for how to style coated jeans below!

How To Style Coated Jeans

Add some texture.

Coated pants have a slightly shiny texture that looks amazing when paired other textures. Especially leather, wool, cashmere, and overall anything furry or cozy. This is one of the main reasons why coated pants are so great for the Fall and Winter seasons. When it comes to creating coated jeans outfit ideas, you can never go wrong with more texture.

Go for an oversized sweater.

For a casual, yet still chic and thoughtful look, wear coated jeans with an oversized sweater. Whether your coated jeans are high rise skinny, straight or flare, you can feel confident in this balanced and comfy look. Again, it’s all in the textures. Add a statement necklace and boots to dress this look up or some sneakers to keep it casual.

Tuck in a blouse or collard shirt.

This is an especially good styling tip for high-waisted coated jeans. Grab a nice blouse, turtleneck, bodysuit, or collard shirt and tuck into your pants. Then, add a matching belt and handbag and you’re ready to take on the day. Black coated jeans, especially black coated skinny jeans, look amazing with a sheer white button-down and a black leather jacket.

Tuck in a graphic tee.

If you enjoy a look with more edge from time to time, consider tucking in a graphic tee. Pair with a cute shajacket, a handbag for a pop of color, and your favorite tennis shoes or sneakers for a casual outfit. Perfect for everything from running errands to brunch with the girls.

Dress them up.

With this type of denim you can dress up and dress down, you can also pair it with a blazer, fitted long-sleeve shirts, or a pretty blouse and can be worn with different types of shoes. You can also get these jeans in so many different colors and here are some of my favorites. They are at different price points 2 are under $50 and the other 2 are under $100.

I am loving the red-brown color as you can see that is the color I chose but pretty much all of them look very chic. I believe that this trend is here to stay and is going to be a classic staple for Fall. Be sure to have one in your closet adding another good item to your Fall wardrobe. If you are looking for another Fall trend to follow check this post here.

Or dress them down.

Rather than grabbing a blouse or blazer, go for a dressed down look. Think oversized sweaters, denim shirts, cozy sweater dresses, longer flannel dresses, and more. I am loving the brown coated jeans for Fall, but black skinny coated jeans are at the top of my list as well. Luckily, you can wear black coated jeans with almost everything you can wear brown coated jeans with.

You can never have too many pairs of coated jeans.

Not only are coated jeans comfy and softer than other jeans I’ve tried before, they are also very on trend right now. The best part is, you don’t have to break the bank to pick up a pair (or two!). Shop the outfit above!

Our Stay at Tommie Hollywood (Review)

Tommie Hollywood ReviewTommie Hollywood Room ReviewSharing a review of our stay at Tommie Hollywood to see if this is the right fit for your trip to Los Angles, California. So I booked this hotel because it was within the budget and liked the photo on the internet and specially the location were everything is walking distance to the tourist spots. Checking in was easy easy!

Our Stay at Tommie Hollywood (Review)

THE ROOM:

The room did not disappoint, I was thinking it will be small, but it was a perfect size for a couple. They do not have a closet for clothes but their bed has those drawers to put your clothes and a hook for a few clothes to hang. The bathroom is a decent size and we also love the aesthetic, they have toiletries included the basics. The bed is comfy and we love the view of our room, we were located at the back of the hotel though.

LOCATION:

The hotel is 45 minutes away from LAX, not bad at all and they have a Valet parking on site for our rental car. The location is really great and truly a walking distance to a lot of tourist spots (Hollywood walk of fame) and restaurants. You can actually se the Hollywood sign from the Hotels rooftop bar.

Hollywood walk of fame

AMENITIES:

Tommie Hollywood pool

The rooftop pool is open but it was Fall and it gets cold in the morning and night so not sure if anybody was able to use it for swimming during the warm afternoon but it was gorgeous.

Tommie Hollywood rooftop bar

They have this rooftop bar were as some online reviews saying that it was loud at night that they cannot sleep due to the roof top party. Maybe their room is right below the bar because we did not hear any of the party music in our room. They were having parties back to back when we were there (Halloween Parties!) because it was the Halloween weekend.

Tommie Hollywood restaurant

They have their own restaurant and it looks really good. We just did not want to eat there as we want to explore what is around the area. They serve Mexican food in their restaurant here.

black and white outfit at hotel lobby

I love the lobby, it looks so chic and comfy with the fireplace, lovely interior design! They do have a snack bar at the lobby, we just did not get to use it, supposed to be free snack and coffee in the morning as they did not have enough staff during our stay as noted by the receptionist. They do have a mini convenience store on the side for quick bites and an ATM machine inside.

Another quick note, if you do have a rental car, it is so expensive to do the valet parking aside from the Valet parking feee there is an extra something fee I noticed during my check out when you use that service. Overall experience was good and will highly recommend, the staff were also very friendly and helpful! Check out our 4 Day Southern California Itinerary.

Comfy Travel Outfit

Comfy Travel OutfitAs we embark on a family road trip to New York this holiday season, the prospect of a long drive encourages us to prioritize comfort. Whether you’re traveling by air or land, I’ve put together this post to inspire comfy travel outfits for you and your loved ones.

Fall/Winter Travel Outfit:

Bracing for colder temperatures? Opt for layered styles that keep you warm and stylish during the journey. Consider including boots, especially if Winter weather conditions are anticipated. A key tip for added comfort is to have a jacket readily available for those inevitable rest stops, gas station breaks, or whenever the weather takes an unexpected turn.Comfy Travel Outfit

Spring/Summer Travel Outfit:

If your holiday journey involves warmer weather, focus on light and breathable fabrics. T-shirts paired with comfortable shorts create a relaxed and airy ensemble, perfect for a lengthy drive. Keep in mind the versatility of a jacket that can be thrown on when needed for added protection or style.

As we gear up for our first family road trip as a party of five, including my in-laws, I share with you some travel outfit inspiration. One notable recommendation is a packable jacket, designed to easily fold and pack, making it an ideal choice not only for road trips but also for air travel.

Navigating the packing process for a family trip can be nerve-wracking, especially with the added responsibility of preparing for two kids and a baby. The challenge of packing for the entire family often leads to humorous moments, like the occasional forgotten item for my husband – a common experience that adds a touch of humor to the excitement.

Things to Do in Mykonos, Greece

Things to Do in Mykonos, Greece WHAT TO PACK:

I have always dreamed of visiting Greece specially Santorini. But I had to choose between Santorini and Mykonos. I did a little researched before I made the booking and found a lot of articles saying that Mykonos is good for family travelers. I was right about my choice even though I have not been to Santorini because our whole family really enjoyed our stay in the island.

Things to Do in Mykonos, Greece Things to Do in Mykonos, Greece check out the pool day post hereThings to Do in Mykonos, Greece check out our beach day post hereThings to Do in Mykonos, Greece Our hotel is 10 mins away from the airport. We stayed at Flaskos Suites which I highly recommend!!! 10/10 free Hotel and airport transfer from 9am to 10pm, friendly and reliable staff, super clean, yummy breakfast, perfect pool and sea view and 5 mins walk from the beach.

Things to Do in Mykonos, Greece Beside our Hotel is the Limnios Tavern Restaurant (Greek Mykonian Flavours) and the food was amazing!! I enjoyed their stuffed mushrooms 🙂 The staff are friendly and you will have the sea view while dining.

Things to Do in Mykonos, Greece Things to Do in Mykonos, Greece Things to Do in Mykonos, Greece

Things we did was renting a car so we can get around the whole island. It was easy to do as our hotel contacted their recommended rent a car dealer and they fetch us from the hotel to their office so we can choose the car and when we returned the car. They also dropped us back to our hotel and it was free and very convenient.

Things to Do in Mykonos, Greece We wanted to try driving the ATV’s but we have the kids with us so we just took a picture on them.

We drove around the island and when to check out the other beaches, the beautiful Mykonos town, Little Venice and the very famous Windmills. There you can find different restaurants and shops depending on your taste.

My Amazon Creator Summit Experience, sharing everything from this trip and about being an Amazon Influencer. So when I received the invitation to be a part of this first ever summit, I was in heaven. I did not mind at all as I know that I will be able to learn more about the program and get to know other creators like myself and connect with them.

My Amazon Creator Summit Experience

The Amazon Creator Summit is invite only and the ticket to get in was free, but the cost to get there from hotel, food, transportation was my own expense (business expense). It was a 2 day event, Daytime was all education, creating content and connecting with brands and other creators and speakers, night time was concert and party. So now let me talk about how the 2 day event rolled out.

My Amazon Creator Summit Experience

Day 1

The Summit was located a few miles from downtown LA so I had to take Uber.  At the entrance they have flyers for the 2 day event itinerary. They have everything set up and there were a lot of speakers which I get to learn a lot on how to work on this business and also just by interacting with other influencers and how they do their own business. Amazon Creator Summit Day 1

There were booths setup and sponsored brands so we got to learn more about these brands and of course we got to take home a lot of freebies. There were stations were we got to make contents sharing all products to from Amazon to our Amazon storefront.

The food at the summit was free, from breakfast, snacks and lunch, we were never hungry. There was no downtime as the day was filled with classroom moments and content creation time. After the first day, I was dead tired but was filled with new content ideas, and new learning how to run this business and meeting new friends. Then off we went to the Amazon Live concert at night and the uber was provided by Amazon and we get to party.

4 Days in Southern California: Itinerary and Guide

4 Days in Southern California: Itinerary and Guide

4 Days in Southern California: Itinerary and Guide to help you plan your upcoming trip around Los Angeles and nearby cities. So this trip has been on my bucket list for a long time now. I have been living in the USA for 14 years and been in and out to tour other countries but haven’t been to the west coast particularly California.

I have been hearing a lot of good things about this state, its beauty and the laid back vibe as well as the perfect weather! Finally we were able to visit as we scheduled it for our 16th wedding anniversary. We planned it as a long weekend trip, mind you we are from Maryland. Since it is a long travel, I looked for non stop flights from DC to LAX so we will be able to maximize our days when we get there.

4 Days in Southern California: Itinerary and Guide

WHAT TO DO AND WHERE TO EAT

Day 1

We took an early flight out of DC straight to LA and touched down at noon time. We still have a plenty of time to roam around the nearby area. I already booked a rental car that will be delivered at the airport upon arrival using the turn app, It was easy peasy and very convenient! When we left the airport we went straight to the famous IN and OUT Burger to see what all the hype is all about since we are early to check in to our hotel. It was alright! I still prefer Shake shack 🙂  Then we decided to check out Rodeo Drive since I already wanted to shop. driving in Southern California

Rodeo Drive

Our eyes was stunned by all the cars around the area, it just look like everybody drives those luxurious cars that you would only normally see on TV. So I did some shopping and got me the YSL medium Kate bag to treat myself. We then had another snack as this cafe nearby and then took off to check in to our hotel.

WHERE TO STAY

We stayed at the Hollywood area and I chose to book this boutique hotel called Tommie Hollywood. It was walking distance to Hollywood walk of fame and from the hotel roof top, you can see the Hollywood sign. So then we freshen up to relax but my husband got an invite from his long time childhood friend to meet with us at a Filipino Bar called Noypitz. Then off we went and fin ally was able to use my new purchase to complete my outfit.

Day 2

Joshua Tree National Park

4 Days in Southern California: Itinerary and Guide Joshua Tree National Park

In our itinerary, this day is to meet up my college GF with her family and have brunch then visit the Joshua Tree National Park which is 2 hours away from LA. So we left early, we had a beautiful weather, sunny cold in the morning and warmed up in the afternoon. We had brunch at JT country kitchen and we love the food then went to Joshua Tree National park to explore the area. I suggest you fill up your tank as this park is huge! We did not get to go around the whole park but was able to see a lot of beautiful hiking trails.

Pioneertown

4 Days in Southern California: Itinerary and Guide

After Joshua tree we then went to Pioneertown which looks like a set of the wild Wild West. I really enjoyed it and met some other friends there. I even dressed up to fit in the background. They have shops and restaurant there but we did not stay longer as there was not much to see.

We then drove to check out the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, We were not able to see much since we got there late and its dark already. I suggest to go there probably before sunset to enjoy the view. There were a lot of hikers If you like hiking. We then had dinner there with our friends and went separate ways afterwards.

Day 3

Griffith Observatory, Santa Monica Pier, Malibu

Griffith Observatory

On this day we then met with another girlfriend of mine who recently moved here from Maryland. She then gave us a tour and went straight to Griffith Observatory and we were able to see the Hollywood sign there closer. It was a free museum just make sure you have your vaccination card so you can enter.

4 Days in Southern California: Itinerary and Guide 4 Days in Southern California: Itinerary and Guide

We then went to check out the streets with palms (instagrammble spots) and we headed to the Sta. Monica Pier for Lunch and ate at a Mexican restaurant there and tried walking around the boardwalk, bright some gifts for the kids and then drove to Malibu to check it our and went sight seeing.

4 Days in Southern California: Itinerary and Guide Sta. Monica beach 4 Days in Southern California: Itinerary and Guide

Day 4

We went to eat at In and Out Burger again to see if it taste much better but still, I love Shake Shack! Then we went on a sightseeing trip going back to the airport driving around some cliffs and it was amazing! We then returned the rental car and went to the airport!

We were able to do a lot in those 4 days well actually 3 days because the first and last day was held day travel. So I recommend getting a straight flight to maximize your stay.

SHOP SIMILAR LOOKS

This was one of my 1st trimester travel, we did a staycation like an hour away from home and we strolled around their old town and I had to wear this comfy maternity jeans and top and also flat slip on sneakers to complete the style. I needed to wear something like this so my feet will not swell after this trip. You also have to consider the weather if it is cold you can easily add on coats and jackets!

Another tip if you are on a budget, go thrifting! You don’t always need to buy new clothes as you will always shrink and go back to your old weight most of the time.

In this photo we were just strolling round different old towns and It was summer time so I had to wear something like this overalls for easy trips to the bathroom. When we are pregnant we always need to go right?
