Are you like me who is also excited for Christmas? Driving home earlier after hanging out with our family friends. We opened up the car window and smell Pines and it rally smells so good. It actually made me reminisce of all Happy moments we have this time of the year.

Sharing one fact about me. Growing up in the Philippines, it is the most wonderful time of the year for us and it is insane that we start decorating the start of BER months so it means it starts in SeptemBER. That is what I actually miss that is why I created this visual board of all things Christmas while watching a Christmas themed movie with a holiday scent after taking a shower and wearing all things Christmas themed cozy pj’s.

I am almost done decorating the inside of the house and tomorrow I will finish it up and also start decorating the front porch. I am also excited to get the kids their Christmas Pj’s, I actually wanna get a family set. I know it will be a Merry and cozy time of the year for our family and I wish the same for you.

Tomorrow is already Thanksgiving day. I just wanna share to all of you all the things that I am thankful and grateful in life.

I am thankful and grateful…..

For having my little family that makes my life so much fun, it is not easy but we make it work and be happy at the end of the day.

For all things in life be it good or bad. Why? Let me start with bad.. Bad things happens to me because it makes me realize the worth of things in life and it makes me stronger with the challenges it gives me. Good.. Because those are the things that gives me joy and happiness.

For being able to help other in my own ways be it my family, friend, co workers, my patients who get better after their therapy program and other people, being able to change lives in a good way.

and Lastly,

For being able to share my other passion in life and for all your support in making it happen.

I am a very thankful and grateful person. As I have seen both the good and bad aspects in life. I tell you, I have seen it all. It was funny, at work we were talking about things like this at work. Two of my co workers were telling me how positive I am in life and they wanna be like that because they said they know they always whine and complain about a lot of things. They were asking me how do I do that. I just told them, well, I came from a third world country and being in a first world country. I am just thankful and grateful being here were I don’t usually see a lot of poverty which separates families, a lot of people can afford to eat 3 times a day and things like that. There are just a lot of things to be thankful and grateful and those things I have mentioned are just some of them.

I apologize if I was so serious on the above sentences and here on a lighter note 🙂

My outfit! It is just about layering and how I added that block cape to make me feel warm and make it a perfect layering look. I have paired the grey OTK as it is a neutral color and plus my sweater is grey too. If you know me by now you can tell I love matching my outfit. I also used my favorite Zac Posen handbag which I carry most of the time these day. Just about right size, not too small and not to big.

When in comes to Holiday looks, It is not always calling for a party dress. You might just be going to a simple Holiday get together with family and friends and not everybody is to dress up. In this first look, as you can see I incorporated the red color on this simple Fall/Winter casual look.

In this look, I have came up with a red dress and added a touch of rose golds to add glam in this style. I would recommend wearing this if you are attending a party where you need to dress up. This dress comes with 2 other colors and is only $35 and both colors are perfect to be paired with all other items in this set.

Think pink for sweater is something that we really not do during this A/W season. Most of us tend to get the more common fall colors like mustard, burgundy or mostly earth colors I should say. But think about it this way. We can always incorporate some summer colors to our wardrobe. Just like what I did in this look. I am pretty much wearing all black and just happen to add pink to bring some life to this whole outfit.

These days a lot of fashionistas are breaking some rules and actually trying out things that were just a norm before. Like no white after labor is no longer true. It is just the way you style it and how you carry a look that makes a difference. Do you agree? So to make the all blacks not boring I chose to wear those distressed denims and added this very comfy ankle boots that has very low heel height with buckles to add some edgy touch. I also paired my black shiny leather bag with it to match the black color scheme.

This is just a simple look with a touch of chic and edgy feel. I hope I was able to give some outfit inspiration to all of you.

It is getting colder here in Maryland and that calls for a lot of sweater weather and coats. I have decided to add something different as I haven’t had this style before. I got this Faux fur shawl collar blue coat from my favorite brand US Boohoo. They were on sale so I grabbed the opportunity to get this. I was not disappointed when I got it in the mail as it is fabulous and cozy.

I wore it strolling Old town Alexandria this weekend and got compliments from this gentleman passing by. Since I know I will be doing a lot of walking, I wore this comfy black leather buckled ankle boots as it has low heels and it matches perfectly with the coat. I also wore the floral blouse just in case we need to stop for coffee and would need me to take my coat off to show of its beauty. I partnered my ever favorite saffiano bag since it is a neutral color just to add contrast to the whole look which is into the darker shade.

I know I will be wearing this coat multiple times and it is perfect for any outfit and fall style. How about you? What are your favorite coats?

Brown Over The Knee Boots

As the weather gets colder, we need to get ready for it. So I have started stocking up with ankle boots and OTK’s for this A/W season. This is one of my first OTK showcase for all of you. I chose brown as I am just into earth colors and neutrals lately. I just so love how it blends with the seasons foliage. It is also easy to pair with anything Fall styling.

As you all notice. I love coordinating my shoes and bags or even my top with it. I always add some pops of color too. That is the reason why I chose this brown OTK since I already have this lovely cross body bag given to me by my baby brother (he knows me well). To tame the color brown from my outfit, I chose to wear the white cozy sweater to balance the colors. I also wore my favorite sunnies which has the leopard prints to perfectly match the whole ensemble adding some coffee to the side.

As you may also notice I love shoes with heels. Since at work I am already to comfy wearing my tennis shoes in combination with my scrubs. My casual look, I tend to wear what I can”t when I am working. This flat OTK boots is also prefect if you are looking into it. How about you, are you also into OTK’s? What is your favorite color?

I really have a thing for dress and prints on it. Like I always say last summer. Dresses are just to easy to wear and to style because it comes in one piece. And again, Karina dresses has this wrinkle free and easy dresses that is hassle free to wear. You know when it is the weekend and we are on a rush to go to church. It is just so easy to grab and out it on, pair it with your best handbag and shoes and viola your done. I you are a mom, you will be able to relate to me. I want something easy to wear and yet stylish. As I have to get the two kids ready first before I get ready.

Another thing is, I always think that when you dress up for parties and other occasions. Sunday is also my day of worship and it is also special that we dress up for it. I may sound like I am preaching but it is just me.

So with pink polka dots and birds print, I just added this light pink Christian Louboutin pumps and this taupe handbag. Those two neutral colored accessories made this look so simple but chic. How about you? Do you also dress up for church? I just call it Sunday best dress because that is our day for church. Some people go different days. I know we are all excited for fall as the weather is just enough for layering and the leaves are just so gorgeous with all their different colors. As for me who grew up in a tropical country (Philippines in case you did not know) my first love is still summer, second is fall. So when we had this Indian summer weather where the temperature goes up the normal for this season. I took the opportunity to wear short sleeves again. I know most of you already have your fall wardrobe in full swing and hidden your summer outfits. I came prepared with this short sleeves as I know we still get some summery type of weather at this time of the year.

To make it still look like fall, of course I wore my favorite ankle boots from last year and thank God it is still being sold at target. I guess by popular demand. It has 1 or 2 inch heel but very comfortable to wear. And as you will notice to that I have been using this Zac Posen mini bag as I am just so obsessed with it and the color of it can be paired to anything. How about you? Aren’t you just loving this season? Just enough to bring on some layering styles. I am just loving this cocoon cardigan as it has this cut and look that is out of the ordinary. Making your simplest look a little bit chic. I have been wearing a lot of different cardigans lately. Definitely need it mostly early in the morning when going to work when it is really chilly. It is not just pretty but this one is really comfy as you can see it is a little think. It provides good comfort and warmth.

I also added this cute neutral mini handbag and that rocking booties to add some balance with the purple cardigan. I just want it to be as simple as that because the cardigan already glam up the look. If you also notice I love wearing heels. But If I know I will be out walking for too long. i always bring with me flat shoes just in case. It always needs to come in handy.

When you are in doubt, just try a classic Light trench coat. It is timeless very easy and comfy casual fall look to pull off this season. I am loving the neutral colors I have here as it just blends it beautifully with the colorful tree leaves surrounding me. Isn’t it just an amazing style to wear. I actually got this trench from a thrift store back home in the Philippines prior to me moving here in the USA. I will never let go of this coat, like I said it is timeless and it is for keeps.

Pairing this coat with my casual white t-shirt and jeans combo adding a brown bag and watch to complete the full detail. It is just a simply chic style any person can do and can never go wrong. Light layering plus the color combo is just the perfect look.

I must say that having a light trench coat is one of the Fall staples or must haves you should have in your wardrobe. How about you?
