It will be my second year in blogging on Monday April 17. That is when I wrote my first blog post. I haven’t thought I will keep going. Why do I blog? Just a refresher for those who just started following me through this journey. It has always been my dream to be a runway model, but of course it did not happen. I will buy fashion magazines and copy how those models pose there and always dreaming of seeing myself in one of those print ads. I was lucky enough to be given an opportunity to see myself in the magazine. It was when cosmopolitan Philippines advertise that they were looking for real women in different shapes and sizes to post for them, just send pictures.

Let me tell you, I always dream of those things but my self esteem was really low. I always think of myself as not pretty that is why nobody notice me. And so when I received the call from the magazine asking me if I can post for them. I was in heaven telling myself is this real. It may be petty for some but for me it was already a dream come true. The only thing that gave me doubt was when they ask me if I was okay posing wearing swimsuit for their summer issue. It took me awhile before I can answer as I haven’t even worn a swimsuit in public not unless it was mandatory because it was a PE class. But the after a few thoughts, I told myself, hey!! this is it, then moment I’ve been waiting for so I said yes.

After that a lot of people who knows me noticed it they kinda acknowledge the fact that yes you can. That started me to realize that I really need to get out of my shell. I can do it and I just have to believe in myself. If that magazine is willing to post a picture of me it means I really do deserve it. I also thank my husband then my boyfriend who always give me the courage and boost my self esteem. Then that opened the door for me trying out VTR’s in the hopes of getting into commercials, attending Go sees to audition for one of the best clothing brand in the Philippines. I was not selected from all those efforts though.

Then I moved here in the US in 2008. I still love fashion, still buys magazine and get inspired by those models where I see wearing the prettiest clothes, traveling from places to places and just having the lifestyle that I have always dreamed of. Then instagram came into my life in 2014. I then started to see bloggers like hellofashionblog, lovelypepa, songofstyle and pinkpeonies. I was so inspired by them because they are their own model of their own online fashion magazine (that is what I call fashion blog). I told myself I can do that too. I know it was a lot of work but I think I can manage since my husband is a good photographer. I researched on how to start a blog and then from then it was trial and error. And here I am still blogging on things that I love and sharing it to all of you to give inspiration. As those models inspired me, I wanna be an inspiration to all of you too. I was getting questions on how I do this, how do I manage and it was so nice to know that there are people who look up to me and I give them inspiration.

I hope I was able to inspire you with this post that even if you don’t have that self esteem. It can change but you have to be surrounded with people that believes in you and that will uplift you. Those people who will support you with your hopes and dreams. Stay away from people who just says stop doing it because you can’t. Remember, if you can dream it, you can have it! So I challenge you to come out of the shell and spread your wings. Let me tell you, blogging is time consuming and a lot of work, but rewarding so you really don’t feel it much because you know you love what you are doing.

This style alert: stripes jumpsuit is love at first sight. I already know this will be a fab casual outfit this Spring and Summer season after laying my eyes on it. It has all the key trends I was looking for in an outfit. Ruffles, stripes and off shoulder all together. How can you not love this style right?

This outfit is also as easy as how you wear a dress. Effortlessly chic and easy to pair with any accessories. I would wear this in beach, having cocktails with friends or just strolling somewhere. If you opt for the beach, it can be paired with a straw bag and a sandals. If its just cocktails, it will be perfect with a clutch bag and any open toe sandals (with or without heels). I can already imagine wearing this at the National Harbor where I am having Happy hour with some of my girlfriends at an outdoor bar, overlooking the Potomac River while watching the sunset.

We are few days away from Easter Sunday. If you are like me who likes dressing up for the occasion. Here are some of my favorite Easter Dresses under $100. What I love about these dresses are the subtle and classic style and colors that they have. The best of all is the they are affordable! They can all be paired with any accessory colors. Versatility at its best when it comes to styling!

I also do apologize for not consistently posting lately. I have been very busy since my dad left for the Philippines. We are all adjusting here at home and I have been doing a lot of spring cleaning too. Also preparing for our upcoming trip next month, stay tuned for that!

I am also celebrating my blog’s 2nd anniversary this month. Yay! Can’t believe it has been 2 sweet years.

I am so thrilled having to post this mother and daughter Spring Dresses styles. When I told Adi that I want her to be in the picture with me, she really got excited. She loves wearing dresses like me when given a chance. She also liked the idea us wearing the flower crown. I explained to her that we are helping families to have food just by wearing it. The question is, How to wear all black outfit in the spring? Most of us of course are already in the mood to wear pastel colors, florals and the likes. As I have noticed that people are starting to break the rules. Just like the saying you cannot wear white after labor day, It is not true anymore! What I did is combined the all black to this denim vest and added a sprinkle of floral details with my handbag and nude flats. Something that you will not see regularly as the most common is wearing a denim jacket.

What I like about this look is that it can be worn all year round, Best look as well as in fall as it will be a good contrast to all the changing colors of the leaves. I would also recommend wearing this sleeveless trench coat or add a scarf . Those are the best bet to make all black lively and into spring season.

I was so thrilled to share to you my first experience as blogger to attend an event. Also sharing my simple casual look at Kneipp Store Opening at the Pentagon Mall in Arlington, VA last week. As a blogger, you feel worthy when a company invites you to their store opening, right? It means they value you and what you have to say. Not only that, you I also get to know a good product to share to all of you and specially to all the people who lives in the DMV like I do.

In the event, I got to learn this new beauty and skincare product and got to try it and know more about their mission and vision as a company. It is a product of Germany and is making these natural products and concepts for health and well being. I like that they have good beauty products and what interests me is the stuff for wellness. As a PT I always deal with muscle and joint pain and they have products for those. I really loved them and used it already on my husband.

Another thing that I liked about them is their drive to fight against hunger. As you can see we were all wearing flower crowns here. There are 3 ways to help them with their campaign.

Hello everyone! Glad to be back again and moving as I have been down for few days because of the stomach virus. I have been literally in and out of the bathroom. It made me so weak that I get tired just by walking around a few steps. That is the reason for my MIA blog post last week. Even though you are not a dress person but it is always to have it in your wardrobe in case you need one. The one I am wearing here is so comfy and soft. As you can see I just added a denim jacket to it and it just in case the temp drops. It is so easy to style, you can wear it with heels or just a strappy flat sandals too like this. I must say that this is actually for Spring and summer style.

It is finally here you guys! To give some inspiration sharing my first day of Spring outfit here. I have been wearing a lot of spring clothes lately as I have been mentioning from my previous post that we have been getting a lot of spring type weather here in our area.

This look is a combination of my ever favorite style lately, the stripes and bell sleeves and added some chic ribbons to make this look a statement. I know I have worn these jeans and wallet bag here when I wore stripes too. If you are not into heels try some flat like this. But just to recreate something different I had to wear this white pumps. It is always fun to mix and match outfit right?

So happy to welcome spring as everything comes to life and you just see the beauty of those flowers blooming everywhere. Such a wonderful feeling!

It was another 70’s weather when I wore this Lace top and I matched it with this comfy white denim and added the black laser cut pumps to match my top. I am wearing these jeans again as worn here. I swear, it is the comfiest! I haven’t tried the brand Free People before and I think I will be shopping it again. I ‘m so pleased with the material and style of it. So going back to the lace top, you probably noticed that my style staple goes like this… lace, embroidered clothes, stripes and distressed jeans, ruffled tops and bell sleeves. I am just a fan of those styles and getting different variations of it.

I am so glad that we are on the last leg of winter. It did try to hit us with a bad storm but luckily the DMV was not hit hard. I am so done with this winter season. It’s really stylish to wear those layers and coats but hey, they can be heavy. Looking forward to Monday as I already shot my fab outfit that i am excited to share soon so stay tuned. I know you all stylish ladies like me will love it.
