Hello all! I wanna share How I practice Self-care as it is very importance specially these days with this pandemic making it more stressful for all. We all can be very busy in life and we tend to forget to care for ourselves. I am a mother of 3 who works as a Full time Physical therapist, who is also blogging on the side and taking care of our small business custom shirts…

1. I always pray specially in the morning when I wake up.

2. I always allot 30-45 mins for myself at least 3-5x a day and that is to do my exercise. I usually workout with my daughter and my husband.

3. I always listen to relaxing music specially when I drive to and from work.

4. I always mostly try to eat healthy food and I try to drink as much water I can in a day.

5. Playing with the kids like board games and literally anything.

6. Hiking… this is really good for the soul either you are alone, with family or with friends.

7. A walk in the park.

How do I do it, I know I can’t do it all without the support of my husband and my mom who stays here with us and being able to watch the kids for during the day.

What if you do not have that kind of help. If you are single this should not really be an issue I guess because you do not need to worry about the kids. If you are a mom like me who does not have that kind of help. Try to do this the things that you can do by yourself when your kids are sleep. I tell you, that 30 mins is so worth it!

Take care of yourself because there is only one unique you! Happy Monday and have a blessed week ahead!

Simply,
Christianne

Halloween Celebration Ideas During Pandemic

Halloween Celebration Ideas During Pandemic

SHOP THE LOOK: ZEBRA HEADBAND/ BOO CREW T-SHIRT/ SUGAR COOKIES

Yay! I am back! Life can be very busy with 3 kids, working as a full time physical therapist and running a small business on the side. Huge thanks to my mom who is hear to help us watching the kids during the day when we are at work.

Now let’s go talk about Halloween celebration during Pandemic. I am here to share some fun and safe ideas for y’all to do this weekend. As a mom of three kids, I have been thinking how am I going to entertain the kids this Halloween, they are used to dress up and we use to take them to Alexandria to go trick or treating. It is totally different now with the current situation in this unprecedented time.

Here are some of the ideas I thought of doing this weekend at the backyard. I was thinking of inviting a few friends over since we are doing this in the backyard. Of course we are making sure we are making sure we wear mask, social distance and washing and sanitizing our hands.

Here are the Must haves for this Halloween Celebration. BOO SWEATSHIRT/ SCAVENGER HUNT/ SUGAR COOKIES/ PUMKIN CARVING KIT/ OUTDOOR PROJECTOR

  1. Halloween Family Shirts. I have made some custom Halloween shirts for the family so not the typical Halloween costume for the kids. You can order it here on my Etsy store. This is already a start to get the Halloween vibe.
  2. Halloween Sugar Cookies. I have bought these cute sweet Halloween cookies from Target because I know the kids will surely love this and will probably add some pizza and chicken wings or even s’mores since we are doing this at the backyard patio.
  3. Halloween Scavenger hunt. I have printed some list of things for the kids to hunt around the backyard and each of them will get some cute prize.
  4. Pumpkin carving. I have some pumpkin carving kits and little pumpkins for us to work on to get their creativity and get them busy. We have to do this as a family due to the tools we have to use. Kids have to be supervised.
  5. Outdoor Halloween Movie Night. Lastly, when it gets dark this is how we will end the day. We have list of Halloween movies we can watch as a family that are kids friendly. some examples are Casper or Hocus Pocus and maybe Ghost Busters.

You can choose from these ideas that are outlined here what will work best for you. Have a Happy safe Halloween!

MY PINK SWIMSUIT/ ANDI’S BABY SWIMSUIT/ AIDAN’S SWIM SHORTS/ FAMILY INFLATABLE POOL

SWIMMING in an inflatable pool is our new jam, we actually inspired our neighbors to get theirs too. Since it is safer doing everything a home, might as well improvised right? Make use of your backyard if you have one.

SHOP THE POST:

VIDEO PROJECTOR

This is also a winner getting us a video projector. As a family we love movie nights and we just took it to another level making it as an outdoor experience. I got this projector that already includes the screen so I won’t have to pay extra for this and it is under $200. Good quality picture and we just use our blue tooth speaker for it and our cellphone so we can watch Diney plus, netflix or prime. It also comes with usb, HDMI connector. We all enjoyed this one with cool drinks, popcorna and a table fire pit in the middle.

PICNIC BASKET

Picnic has never been good and also was able to do sun bathing in out backyard, I must say we have done a lot of first even though we have been living here in our house for a while. This pandemic has thought us a lot of our own creativity and make us of what we have.

outdoor dining is the best, we thought of having a Korean food and this is what we came up.

Check out other activities here.

Hello All! I know I have not been consistently here on the blog. If you have been following me, you know I am a healthcare worker and that being said. We are all battling this covid and that made me so busy at work taking all the precuations I can take wearing full PPE so I won’t take home the virus. So when I am at home, I have been really tired and the rest of my energy I use to be with the family.

I actually have extra time for this few days that I would like to use to make blog post and this is what I came up with. I have been browsing a lot of items for patio because Novel and I wanted to work on it. We already added some new items at home like this sideboard for the dining room. And this all surface vacuum.

We were thinking of making a pergola and add some string lights. I have been browsing on these three stores and still looking for some ideas. We are still throwing some ideas back and forth and still couldn’t make up our minds. But in case you are looking for some inspirations do check out all this post here.

Also do not miss out on the $400 egg chair sale from Target. It usually is $5oo so that is a steal, it is a good addition if you have a pretty good space in your backyard. I already have an egg chair inside the house that I got from Walmart.

In case you missed my previous post on Home and organization, I have put up some good storage and container items here. Now is the time to put your organization skills and do all things that most of us did not have time to do when we were busy working. Stay tuned for some post regarding other skills that I have acquired during this stay at home orders we have like baking? lol!

Life Lately Update this Spring Time

SHOP THE LOOK:

AMUR TOP/ SUNGLASSES/ TORY BURCH HANDBAG/ LEVIS JEANS/ TARGET SANDALS

Omg! It is already April 1st, where did March go? Anyways, just checking in on everyone. How is everyone holding on in the situation? As for me, I am still working as I am considered an essential employee as a physical therapist. I am actually scared that I will encounter patients that have the corona virus. I am actually praying for all of us healthcare worker to have the proper PPE to use for us to be able to provide care and safety for everybody around us.

Another thing, the kids are at home because their school is cancelled until April 24th here in Maryland, my husband’s work has been affected by this so he is at home with the kids doing all the home schooling for them while I am at work. When I get home, I make sure I sanitize everything that I wore and touch and go straight to the shower before I touch my precious family. You know, we don’t know where our enemy is the virus. On a good note, we have more bonding time as a family, we actually have a lot of time spending it in the backyard when the weather permits and bike ride in the neighborhood. Also a lot of movie nights and game nights as well. We are also enjoying doing Tiktok and a lot of jamming time as we as a family love music. We actually started doing Friday night live on my personal Facebook and our family and friends are enjoying it. Since my blog is more of fashion and lifestyle, not sure is you all will appreciate it if we do a live on my Instagram.

So as for this pretty outfit here, yes I was able to break this in here in the neighborhood next to my neighbor’s tree here. Since not too many people outside here, I was able to enjoy this shoot with the hubs carefree as you can see here in the picture. This top is true to size and perfect for a high waist jeans like the one I am wearing right now. These Levi’s jeans are so comfy and so obsessed with the cute hem. And still in love with all things Tory Burch bags….

How about you? I wanna hear how everybody is doing. I really pray that is will end soon, I feel so sad that all of us is being affected by this pandemic directly and indirectly if you know what I mean. Cheers! Hoping that we can get to enjoy this years Summer, wishful thinking! Check out the other budget friendly Spring blouses I posted here.

How I Stay Positive Through all this Pandemic

How I Stay Positive Through all this Pandemic

SHOP THE POST:

WHITE TOP/ LEVI’S JEANS/ TORY BURCH BAG/ BOOHOO SANDALS

I just wanna share all my thoughts about the current situation. I know a lot of us is scared and stressed. I may not look like it in my pictures but trust me I feel what everybody is feeling right now. I am scared because I am one of the front liners, scared that I might be exposed and to take it home with me… So I always pray… but this time I pray more…. I make sure I practice good hygiene all the time as in double of what I am already doing. Taking vitamins and exercising regularly to increase immune system.

Stressed because my husband’s work is one that is affected by the current situation and of course we are thinking about it all the time. Right now, at least I know the Government is doing its best to help people who are affected by this. Thankful that I have a job…

I am the type of person who see the glass half full than half empty. I always look into good things than the bad side of things. This is how I stay positive with all the negativity around the world, I think I got this attitude from my dad. If you know me personally, I bet you are one of them who always ask me why I don’t get angry a lot. Why am I always positive…

Here are the positive things this virus has brought us.. Since a lot of us are quarantined. We all learn….

  1. How to be creative at home and share all our precious time with out loved ones.
  2. Streets have less cars decreasing pollution in the air.
  3. A lot of us scared and now just started taking care of ourselves more than ever.
  4. You have showed us who are those people with loving and caring heart amidst this situation.

This too shall pass.. I know it is hard but we can all do this. To keep y’all sane at home try this game night I posted here. Stay safe and healthy everyone!

Simply,

Christianne
