Where To Stay In Cabo San Lucas Mexico
Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas caught my attention as it is adjacent to the breathtaking view of The Arch of Cabo San Lucas or Land’s End. Secondly, it has a reasonable price point and it is all-inclusive which means we don’t need to be worried about the food and drinks which usually is expensive when you are on your trip. They have of course buffet-style restaurants, they also have specialty restaurants. A steakhouse, Italian, Japanese, and Indian restaurants and you have access to the other 2 Riu Hotels around the area.
The hotel is about 30 mins from the airport and make sure to arrange your transportation before your trip so you already have a ride when you get to the airport. We used Transcabo they were cheap and efficient for our roundtrip airport transport. It is a shared van but they are very clean. It was $88 for both me and my husband for the roundtrip.
The Hotel has a lot of swimming pools and some were adult pools and they also have pools for the little ones. The hotel I located beachfront, the beach looks amazing but the waves are I think surfer friendly. You won’t be able to swim as the waves were huge! So September is hurricane season but we were blessed with good weather and it was in the 90s when we were there. Also, the rooms are a good size and we had the beach view.
The hotel also offers free covid tests for all USA clients and if you test positive they let you stay 10 days to quarantine.
Best Things To Do In Cabo San Lucas Mexico
LAND’S END(EL ARCO)
The iconic rock formations where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez are a must-visit attraction in Cabo San Lucas. At the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula, you’ll find these stunning rock formations that have been carved by the sea over time. A boat tour can take you up close to the arch where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez.
SUNSET CRUISE
On our first day, we did the sunset cruise around the arch. It was the perfect thing to do because it was so relaxing! The view was breathtaking, and the water was so beautiful. We used the Cabo Blue Boat. They charge $50 per person and it includes unlimited drinks non-alcoholic and alcoholic and some light snacks. It was a spacious boat for everyone to be able to socially distance from others. Make sure to get a picture taken when you get to the arch. We did not get good ones as there was a couple where the man proposed to now his fiancé while we were there. So happy for them but they kinda took the moment lol!
DOWNTOWN CABO SAN LUCAS
The heart of the city is a vibrant and bustling area that offers something for everyone. You can stroll along the marina, shop for souvenirs at the local markets, dine at one of the many restaurants, or dance the night away at one of the nightclubs. It’s a great place to experience the local culture and soak up the lively atmosphere.
PLAYA EL MEDANO AND CHILENO BEACH
These two beaches are some of the most popular in Cabo San Lucas. Playa El Médano is a long stretch of golden sand that’s perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. Chileno Beach is a smaller, more secluded beach that’s great for snorkeling and relaxing. Both offer stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding landscape.
SAN JOSE DEL CABO
The charming town located just a short drive from Cabo San Lucas is known for its historic architecture, art galleries, and traditional Mexican cuisine. You can wander through the narrow streets, browse the local shops, and sample some of the delicious food at one of the many restaurants.
ATV AND CAMEL RIDE
Here I booked it through Funcabo and they have a lot of other fun activities you can think of from there, horseback riding, helicopter riding, swimming with the dolphins, kayaking, paddle boarding, and a lot more! Most of them charge you a 50% down payment and you will just give them the full payment on the day of your trip. This activity was fun and unique for us.
TODOS SANTOS
This picturesque town is located about an hour’s drive from Cabo San Lucas and is known for its art scene and surf culture. You can explore the local galleries, visit the historic Mission of Santa Rosa de Todos Santos, or catch some waves at one of the nearby beaches. It’s a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of Cabo San Lucas and experience a more laid-back vibe.
