this will be my suggestion for Mother’s Day dinner.

My husband and I went to Medieval times for our post Valentine’s date. We had an amazing time watching those knights with their horses. It was a live fun action scene while we were enjoying the dinner food in our table. You’ll feel like as if you are actually living in that era.

This dining experience is not only for Valentine’s day. So if you are looking for something new to treat mom. I’m suggesting go ahead and reserve this opportunity at www.midievaltimes.com.

The Fight Of This Century

Yes, the much awaited boxing fight is happening tomorrow, May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. All the Filipinos like me all over the world is excited to see it. The way we watch it is like how an American does when it is the Super Bowl. And I believe that most of the people who knows Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather is interested in it too.

My family and friends are ready for it. We already purchased the pay-per-view. It is expensive, but the way we do it is that we split it amongst our group. And then we do potluck. So it is a very nice gathering for us.

And I just wanna share to all of you the good thing every time Manny fights. The crime rate back home (Philippines) is down because everybody even the criminals watch it.

I know it is going to be a good match “the good defense and fastness of Mayweather vs the power punch of Pacquiao”

I just want to say good luck to both of them specially to our Filipino pride “People’s Champ” Manny Pacquiao!

Let’s get ready to rumble!!!

Dreaming of Bohol…

Bohol is another island in the Philippines that has nice white sand beaches. Just like Boracay that I was talking about on my blog regarding how I got to love traveling.

This place is also heaven and is not as crowded as Boracay. They also offer a lot of side activities if you want to be off the beach.

Other fun tour activities, point of interest:

Baclayon church – it’s a Catholic Church which is made of coral stones.
Whale and dolphin watching at the Pamilacan island.

Loboc river cruise – it’s like having a buffet party while cruising the river with live music and they have stop over some waterfalls and natives.

Chocolate hills – these are small mountain formation. Must see!!!

Tarsier – smallest primate in the world. They are the cutest!

So if you happen to travel Asia, stop by the Philippines and head on to Bohol. From the international airport you can connect to tagbilaran airport. They have lots of nice beach hotels to choose from. It’s nice to have some island life. It is summer there now 🙂

Explore Asia’s beaches.

Free workout app

I recommend you using the nike training app. Just sharing it with you guys. I’m not getting paid to promote this. It is free and you can download it from your cellphone or tablet. They have different programs for you depending on what you want to achieve. Like get lean, get toned, get strong, get focused (target areas in your body).

They have 15-30-45 minute workouts and you can combine them to the nike running app if you like running too.

Must try.. Of course if you have a medical condition. Ask your doctor first.because their program might be intense for you.

New motto: health is wealth!

Happy workout guys!

Xoxo,

Christianne

Who says being healthy is expensive?

Giving a smile is free. This expression is a very good way to start your day. Here are some of the benefits of smiling: In some studies it stated that it releases endorphins the natural pain killers which makes a person feel better. It makes a person more likeable, approachable and attractive. This is one contagious thing that you want to spread that I believe everybody will be happy to catch. Overall, it reduces stress… That makes this act healthy. Xoxo, Christianne 🙂

Are you up to some fun Running activities?

20150425_20444320150425_21103620150425_21450720150425_195237So, I signed up for The Glorun 5k first week of April after my co workers asked me if I wanna join their team. I’ve always wanted to try one of those marathons because I know it was for health and fitness and I know it was gonna be fun too.

The event was Last Saturday At the RFK Stadium, Washington, D.C.

Even though the weather did not cooperate with us because it was cold (40’s) and  rainy.  That kinda made me ask myself, should I still go?

My team and I was texting each other asking if we were still going since the weather was bad. But hey, everybody was in unison saying “we will still go.” That did not stop us. We went with our running outfits Prepared with our running jackets.

At the stadium, there were still a lot of people surprisingly. They still had their safari and glowy outfits on. Because there was a costume contest after the run.

The event was very organized, they had the stage and the DJ for the after party. There was a safari themed photo booths, water station halfway the race track and food trucks so nobody will get hungry before and after the run. Kudos to the event organizer!!

I was not a runner, by the way. I exercises differently. You don’t have to be one to join. Most of the people ran, walked, ran, took pictures along the way, ran, walked and ran to the finish line. The good thing about this was that when you see people running with you. It motivates you to keep going.

I recommend this event to everybody. You’ll definitely going to enjoy.

I will try the other marathon next time. I’m gonna get my family and friends to join. You can check out in the internet what events they have in your area. Try www.active.com and type your area and it will give you The calendar of running activities. Check out the dates and sign up.

Overall, I should say, it was a fun fitness experience!

Can’t wait to hear some of your experiences too. Have fun!

The Silver State

“Travel to a new place you’ve never been before.” That was one of the things my husband and I agreed to do starting this year. Instead of collecting things we want to collect memories. And that’s what we did…

I can’t believe It has been a month already since we visited Las Vegas, Nevada.

Why did we choose the “Sin City?”

I believed that this place has a lot to offer aside from their casinos and night night clubs. I also know this is close to the Grand Canyon and  LA if we want to side trip. So will this place be a good one for a family travel with the kids?

When it comes to travel, I always research about it and asked people who have been there to get some insights.

I have asked some of my family friend who’s been there with their family. They said that Circus Circus will be a nice place to stay with the kids from the name itself.

So I checked www.orbitz.com and found a deal for that hotel+flight and booked it. That was hubby’s post birthday celebration and Spring break for our family.

Since that was the first time we’ll be traveling to the west coast. I took the opportunity to contact some of my friends who lives there to come meet us if they have the time. And she did say yes!  We haven’t seen each for a good 10 years but we’re always in touch.

So all was set and booked. Calendar was marked.

Day 1: We arrived at night so we were not able to do anything except to unpack, ate dinner and checked out what’s in the hotel.

Day 2: We met our friends with their son who also stayed in the hotel with us. We used up all the time in the hotel’s Adventuredome. The kids and us too enjoyed the rides and other games which we won some cute stuff. We were also able to see live circus since that was also a part of their attraction. every 30-45 mins they have different circus or magic acts. It was one good experience for the whole family. As for the dining experience. There were a lot of places to choose from. As for us, we went to all the Filipino restaurants that we did not have in the East coast and ate there. It was a blast!

My friends left that night. They just really wanted to meet with us that day. Since my mom was with us too. My husband and I was able to enjoy the night out. Went out to the Casino and also had some drinks. We got to see the beauty of Vegas strip at night.

Day 3: Another Family adventure that we’ve never done before. Instead of going to the Grand Canyon, We just went to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area since we did not have much time. Plus it will be too tiring for the kids. This place was 30 mins away from the strip. They have a scenic drive and many different hiking trail. The view was amazing!!! We don’t have that in the East Coast.

In the afternoon, we went to The Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

I recommend that if you will be traveling with kids, go rent a car. There is always parking there. You can book your rent a car online. Try www.rentalcars.com/las-Vegas-airport. The companies listed there will only have you take 1 shuttle ride. Less of a hassle. Because what happened to us was… We did get fox rental online. I didn’t know that from the airport we had to get 2 shuttle transfers to get there. The company was good but that was the down side. It was too much for us since we traveled with 2 strollers and 3 lugages.

Another fun filled memorable trip for us. I hope I inspired you all.
