What To Wear For St Patrick’s Day? I got you covered! I have different styles from workwear, casual, and many more. But first, let us talk about the celebration itself and how it started.

St. Patrick’s day is a cultural and religious celebration by the Catholic Church that commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. It is celebrated on the 17th of March the day St. Patrick died. In addition, it is celebrated with public parades and festivities. And also wearing green as the attire.

This falls on the lenten season when Catholics start restrictions on drinking alcohol and eating. But it is lifted on this day.

So why do we have to wear green on this day? It is customary to wear shamrocks, green clothing, or accessories. Moreover, it is believed that St. Patrick used a three-leaved plant to explain the Holy Trinity to Irish pagans.

Here in the United States even though it is not considered a legal Holiday, it is still widely observed throughout the country as a celebration of Irish American Culture. In fact, I remember that Chicago always dyes their river green on this day.

This first outfit is my favorite, I love the color and the fit of the dress. It is so chic and romantic also accentuates your shape. This option is if you are going to a place where they require dressing up. You can never go wrong with this look!

This third dress looks very conservative.. in the front but not on the back. The back detail has a square opening that you might not wanna wear bra and just a silicone nipple cover. Looks can be deceiving here!

Dress It Down

The dress down look is easy to create for more casual style. You just have to add like a flat sandals or shoes. In this case I opted on wearing my old Adidas sneakers. This look is more of like for running errands or just meeting with friends going out. Also throw on a simple crossbody bag to top the look. If it is cold in your area like were I am right now, You can just add on a simple jacket like this anorak jacket.

Dress It Up

This look was elevated just by adding those chic boots and this chic bag to complete the whole outfit. I even throw on a Black classic wool coat for finishing touches. You don’t have to if it is not needed, for me it is very Winter here in Maryland so wearing the coat is a must.

Now let me talk about the dress. When I saw it I know I can easily dress it up and down. The material is so soft, it is a mini dress and love the neutral color and is very affordable under $30.

So basically, for styling ideas… to dress down is just to make it as simple as you possibly can and more of a relax casual look. For dressing up, you have to put on your very best style and all the elevating accessories you might have like pumps, heeled sandals.
