How I Met My Husband

How I Met My Husband

Good morning to everyone! This post is not fashion related. I just want to share a private now public part of my life to all of you.

Today marks our 9th year wedding anniversary. I just want to share to all my readers how blessed I am to have my husband in my life. And All of you would not believe how I met him. This post is dedicated to him because he always supports me in everything I do, specially this blogging! Now that He became my official photographer. Thank you so much sweetie!

Back in 1999, I was attending my cousin’s birthday but I was getting bored so I thought about texting random numbers close to the last 4 digit of my cellphone number just to say hi and see who will respond back to a stranger. It was my husband’s cousin who responded to my message. She was very friendly, so we’ve been texting ever since then. Then she gave my number to (now) my sister-in-law then she gave my number to her brother (now) my husband because she said we we’re the same age.

Then he started texting me, he told me where he goes to school, where he stays and since then, he started sending me those’ cute quotes almost everyday. Which was so sweet of him. It was fun texting with him because He is a very sensible man. I didn’t feel love though, just having fun exchanging messages with him.

So, it has been 2 months texting each other. He started asking this questions “can you be my girl?” And I was just playing so I responded back right away saying “yup!” Lol. Then he asked me again “so you’re my girl now?” And I said “yup!” After that I got really scared and nervous because he started saying I love you on all his text messages after me saying yes. Then he asked me if we could meet up. It was really nervous and scared of course because I will be meeting a total stranger even though we always text each other.

I found out I was gonna be my baby brothers chaperone for his field trip. That gave me an idea that it will be a safe place to meet a stranger because we have the other school people with us. So I told him yes we can meet at the zoo, he agreed!

This is us now.
This is us now.

Yes, it was at the Manila Zoo, right in front of the big bird cage that we met for the first time. He was with his younger cousin and he doesn’t look scary. He was very pleasant and he was very nice to me and my baby brother. It was so funny meeting each other for the first time to think we are officially BF and GF technically. Then he started putting his arms around me then I gave him the look. Then he backed off and by the end of the trip he was asking for a goodbye kiss. And I said “no!” Can you see all my baby brother classmates mom? They are gonna tell my parents. Then he stopped asking.

After that, we started talking more on the phone not just texting. He really invested time, effort everything to me, then I stared falling in love with him and that was it!

He is the present, enjoying our life together with our two beautiful children.

I also wanna share some of our pictures on our anniversary, because it is close to Halloween some of them we celebrated on Halloween day 🙂

Xo,

Christianne

Have a nice day!

Becoming Our Lifestyle

Finally, I was able to be back on track as far as exercising. I have been doing a lot of cardio lately. I try to do it 5 days a week more on Zumba and elliptical. I have been wanting to do the nike training but it is not happening now. I believe it will be effective if I will get up really early when my kids are still sleeping and exercise. It it really is a dedication to achieve something. Right now, my husband and I still trying on different routines, since my mom left (she was really a big help).

As for my diet, I have been snacking healthy, I usually have Greek yogurt and whole grain crackers and quack mole. I have been eating brown rice with quinoa for my rice. I must say I have been eating healthy food. I do cheat too. And Like what I have been saying before, I signed up for this S health on my phone and there I input my food intake, water intake and it helps so I can keep track.

Working on making this a long term habit is still a work in progress. When you have kids, things change quite often. I just have to be flexible.

My measurements are still the same, since I have not been doing nike training. Like I said cardio is the main exercise I do so I kept my weight to 127 lbs. 1 more lb and then I reached my goal. But my ultimate goal is to lose inches. I want to be toned. That looks better, for me if I look better it makes me feel better.

Happy Friday Everyone!

I hope I inspired you.

How to be successful when trying to lose weight

I am not an expert on losing weight but being able to work in a slimming center for 5 years and being in the healthcare field made me come up with this tips. Because most of my friends ask me about this all the time.

How come You have maintained my weight even after having 2 kids? Just to let you all know, I am not those lucky ones who only had the belly baby and shrank right away after giving birth. I gained 45 lbs on the first one and 35 lbs on my second pregnancy. Be the judge and Let me know if you agree..

1. MIND SET. think of something that you achieved that you wanted so bad. Didn’t you put your mind to it at first and thought about it and told yourself I’m gonna do this and I will succeed! If you already think like that then you are on the right track.

You have to condition your mind. It is so powerful that if you think and imagine it everyday. Then your whole body will go with it.

2. Motivation. What motivates you? what ever reasons you have, if it motivates you then continue with it. My motivation is, I want to be able to back to my pre baby weight or close to it. Because I always feel good when I was that weight. I am energetic, easy to find clothes that fit me, I just feel comfortable.

2. Discipline. There is always temptation for us here and there. But if you are disciplined. You can stay away from those temptation and be focused.

3. Just do it! start! everything that we do is always hard on the first try. But your body can adjust with it. It just have to be a routine for you. Give yourself at least 15- 30 mins at least 3-5x a week.

Those list of clean diet and exercises will not show results if you do not have these key ingredient. You have to have all right ingredient to be successful in losing weight, actually on everything. Be consistent.

Enjoy your journey. You can chit chat with me, a real human being if you do not want to go through this by yourself. Let me boost your confidence. As I always tell my friends. Let us help each other.

First time running…

First time running...First time running…

Let me share to all that I joined this Glowrun 5k this coming April 25, 2015 in DC at the RFK stadium. I’ve been really wanting to sign up for those type of events since I am into fitness and health. And I also know it is gonna be fun even though I’ll be sore and tired after. Well, it’ll be all worth it. So last week my co worker and I decided that we should practice first  just so to build endurance. So yesterday was the day.

We parked at Belle haven park in Alexandria, VA. From there up to the overpass on the Maryland side and back is a total of 5 miles.

So then we started, I felt like… oh well I haven’t done any running. I don’t think that I ‘ll survive this. I only do brisk walking when go to this trail with my daughter and husband. So my co worker and I started running and whew! We did a mile without resting, thanks for my comfy running shoes.  I didn’t know I will last that long. There goes the saying “you’ll never know unless you try.” That felt good. I did it! We did like 2.5 mile walk and 2.5 mile run. And I just want all of you to know the view here is so nice. You get to see the Potomac river, the national harbor, DC monument and DC capitol.

So for any of you feeling they can’t do things. Try it first and see. we all have strengths inside us that we just don’t know.

Simply,

Christianne
