Gender Revealed and It’s A Girl!

Hello everyone! It’s been a week seen I posted here on the blog and yes we are having a baby girl. I am really not into a gender reveal party because I just don’t find it practical. Baby shower to me is most important and it is just me.

Since we found out we were pregnant. We have been thinking about baby names that starts with letter A since both our children are already named as Adrianne (Adi) and Aidan. We were really looking online and we found this cool names. If it was to be a boy we would have named him Ace and since it is a baby girl, she will be named Andi. Andi is the feminine form of green name Andreas.

What do you think about the baby names? Do you also look into baby names and their meaning or you just give names because they are cute. And I know some of us have a really deeper meaning because it was a family members name like a grandparent or your own parents name.

Originally if it was a boy, We will use my dad’s nickname Aboy and give it to him as his nickname. I wanted to give my dad’s name but it starts with E. Maybe call her Agirl since she is a girl. Nah, she would be mad at us then when she grow up. Lol!

Thank for stopping by and see you again!

Simply,

Christianne

Life Lately.. update

Life Lately.. update

Hello everyone! I have been missing out a lot on the blog post. I try to be consistent with instagram but I still fail. But, here I am again, regaining my energy after the first trimester. It was really something for me, the first trimester. I was always out of energy after a full days work as a Physical therapist. I am glad my family understands my shortcomings at home as It was not intentional. I was very sensitive to strong scents and some fried foods. Another weird thing was I always felt nauseous every time the cold air blows on my face.

I am glad they are all tapering down now. Since I am officially on my second trimester. Also, 3 weeks ago we had the genetic testing done for pregnant ladies over 35 to check for genetic defect. Just got the result Friday says everything came back normal so now just waiting for the doctor to reveal to me the gender of our precious baby. Hopefully we get it today 🙂 I am looking forward to have this energy so I can share my creative thoughts and helpful insights here on the blog with all of you. I will be sharing a lot of maternity styles too.

Life Lately.. update

in case you have not seen the cute little bump trying to come out here. Here are some pregnancy travel outfit here. Make sure to check out my maternity outfits for more inspo, there will be more coming soon here on the blog.

Family Traditions We do when it’s cold outside. How these are good ideas to do as your own family traditions starting this New Year. Growing up, we always go to my grandparents house to celebrate Christmas and go back to our own home to the New Year’s Eve celebrations. That has been long gone since I moved here in the US.

Now that I have a family of my own, we are making our own traditions.

1. Every Christmas time we always go to New York to celebrate with my husbands relatives since they are our family here, we would dine together and in the evening, all of us will go to Time square to look and take pictures at all the Christmas Decors and the Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Plaza.

2. We also do staycations and stay in a Hotel near were we live so the kids can swim. (hotels with indoor swimming pools only). And if you have been following my IG story we just stayed at the largest Indoor Water park in the US.

3. We just started game nights and have been collecting board games as the kids are now old enough to play.

4. Movie nights.. Which we actually do all year round. But this time of the year we are more on Holiday Movies.

I hope I was able to give some fun family traditions to share with your family.

Thank you for stopping by.

My Top 3 Self Help Books I Read that Improved my Life. And the reasons why you should also start reading them to prepare you for the New Year’s. We all have goals every New Year right? I use to call it New Year’s resolution but it is more appropriate to call it goals. As we set goals to achieve, we have to be mentally prepared to work on them to make it a reality. And these books I listed here changed my way of looking at life and how I can improve myself and be that person achieving those goals.

  1. The Secret – I have read this prior to migrating here in the U. S. and it really made me persevere to achieve my goal on migrating here and start working as a Physical Therapist. It made me summon the goals I want to achieve and make it a reality.
  2. How to win Friends and Influence People – This book helped me to better communicate with other people. Instead of making enemies because you don’t know how to respond to things. This book taught me the right approach with people.
  3. You are a Badass – This is the one I recently read to help me working more on changing my habits to improve my blogging career. I know I have the potential to improve my blog and be the boss lady I want to be and it is still a work in progress. This book helps you to think positive and learn to make your dreams a reality.
  4. My Top 3 Self Help Books I Read that Improved my Life. And the reasons why you should also start reading them to prepare you for the New Year’s.

I hope this helps you get on target when it comes to New Year, New you.

How I Decorated my Home for the Holidays

SHOP THE POST:

7FT CHRISTMAS TREE

SILVER AND GOLD ORNAMENTS

In today’s post I am showing you guys how I decorated my home for the Holidays. I just feel good every time I stare at these decors. I bet you do too with all your Home Holiday decorations. It just brings out the kid in me. I am also excited for my kids because I can see that they feel the Christmas spirit how I use to see it when I was a little girl.

For this year, finally I bought the Christmas tree of my dreams which was the one with snow. On the last picture here, you can see my old Christmas tree which was only 6ft tall I bought from Walmart for $20. My new tree is also from Walmart and I know this will last for a lifetime.

I love adding some touch or silver and gold and of course red and green. We got our customize stocking from Marks & Spencers last year from my collaboration with them. I just love how It goes well with my fireplace.

Also most of my decorations here are from Target. There is nothing like Target for all you home decors not just for the Holidays and they are good quality and style. I got good deals when we went there last Black Friday.

I hope I was able to inspire you to decorate your house if you haven’t already. Happy Holidays!

Thank you for stopping by!

Making a Difference by Starting #Iappreciateyoumovement

Making a Difference by Starting #Iappreciateyoumovement
Sending you these flowers virtually because I appreciate you all!

Making a Difference by Starting #Iappreciateyoumovement This blog post is not just about fashion but about life in general and Making a Difference by Starting #Iappreciateyoumovement is something I have been thinking about for a while now. I have been noticing a lot of negativity around me like people complaining about everything here and there. That kept me thinking why do they do this? It was made crystal clear that most of the people are not being appreciated.

I am currently re-reading the book of Dale Carnegie “How to Win Friends and Influence People” and he clearly stated there this. The deepest urge in human nature is “desire is to be important. This desire makes you want to wear the latest styles, drive the latest cars, and talk about your brilliant children. So he stated on the book to show people they are important is to show sincere appreciation.

Greatest example of it was my brother. He was really excelling in school for consistent year and every year my parents failed to show up on recognition days and I will be the one there with him to accept his award. Of course for his young mind, he was proud of his achievements and wanting my parents to be proud of him too. Then after a few years, he started not excelling in school and now thought about this quote “If you don’t show your appreciation to those who deserve it, They’ll learn to stop doing the things you appreciate.” -from pinterest

And another good example is “A person who feels appreciated will always do more than what is expected.” I was always being noticed by my father when I was younger that I love to draw and he always tells me I really draw good and I can be an artist in the future. That kept me practicing more and even competing in some poster making contests in school. My effort is being recognized and that is a greatest feeling.

So today, I am starting #Iappreciateyoumovement because I want you to “Be Somebody who makes everybody feel like Somebody.” I encouraged you share this post if you really like this and start spreading this positive vibe throughout our community. I suggest get a sticky note pad and give it to somebody that you truly appreciate and start seeing the big difference (in a good way). By showing someone how you appreciate them, you are making that persons day and I bet it will make our day too knowing you made someone feel important equals both of you being happy.

Thank you for stopping by and have a nice weekend!

Simply,

Christianne

Why I love Being A Mom

We are few days  away from Mother’s day. I just wanna share some of my reasons why I love being a mom.

  1. I love that I am responsible to provide a better life for your kids (together with my husband) and shape them well so they will grow up a good person. I really enjoy this because whatever I like what my parents did to me growing I do and whatever I did not like of course I will not do.
  2. I love being the person to take care of my kids hygiene making sure they are always clean and healthy, its not that my husband doesn’t do that, but I do it more.
  3. I love that you have these little ones that think of you as their hero.
  4. I love coming home knowing that the kids are always excited to see me, all my stress and problems will automatically be gone.
  5. I love it that I have thoughtful kids and they treat me so dearly and gives me flowers to pick up from the ground.

Most importantly, I love being a person that is capable of loving unconditionally for the sake of my kids. Honestly, my kids are teaching me how to be more patient, because they will really test you. I believe I am getting better.

May all of you have a wonderful Mother’s day weekend!  By the way, what are you up to this weekend? It is going to be Adi’s First communion at Church and on Sunday celebrating mother’s day with some family friends and an early birthday  celebration for Adi.

Thank you for stopping by.

Christianne

Extended Closet/ Blog Office Reveal

Extended Closet/ Blog Office Reveal Extended Closet/ Blog Office Reveal Extended Closet/ Blog Office Reveal Extended Closet/ Blog Office Reveal Extended Closet/ Blog Office Reveal Extended Closet/ Blog Office Reveal Extended Closet/ Blog Office Reveal Extended Closet/ Blog Office RevealTGIF and Happy Friday!! I have been looking forward to this moment sharing to all of you my extended closet/blog office reveal. Why did I call it as such? Because what you can see here are some of my favorite shoes and handbags that I really worked hard for to save so I can buy them, it took years for me to have this much stuff. So much of those explanations…

So this part of the house (spare room) has not been touched for a long time. It was an office of the previous owner and they were book shelves. I took the opportunity to turn it into my closet. This is every girly girls dream I should say. My sister in law was joking about it calling me a celebrity. It just so happen that our house already has these built in cabinets and we just repainted them added a chic bench and voila! It turned out really nice and this is were I get my inspiration and do my blog work. Wouldn’t you be inspired if you will be working creating your fashion blog post in this room?

I am also so lucky to have a very supportive husband and plus my father in law is here to help us remodel and re paint pretty much the whole house. Stay tuned on the next post as I will show you our basement living room and Mini Bar.

Since Valentine’s day is a week from now. I came up with this 5 fun date ideas for couples. It doesn’t have to always be like eating out in a fine dining restaurant or preparing candle light dinner at home. I made sure that both of you will enjoy and will sleep together with smile on your face and fun memories to share. Also my date is not on the picture, he is the one behind the Lens taking these gorgeous photos.

  1. Re-create your first date

I am already excited for this one because we were only 18 when we first went on a date. We were in college and living on our limited allowance so make a guess where it was? It was at McDonald’s! So can you imagine that, just typing this I am already smiling and reminiscing those fun moments. I bet you also have that lovely moment together on your first date.

2.Play a Couples Game: Check out this book A Quiz Book For Couples

I though about this because last New Years Eve. Our friends and our family had this couples game to try something new as we only always have games for the kids. Moments like this shouldn’t just be for Valentine’s day anyway right? Do you agree? So in here both couples were asked questions and you both should have the same answer. It was so funny to see if you don’t get the same answer and you both have some explanations why you answered that way.

       3. Play a New Sport together that you’ve been wanting to try

You might not be a sporty type or even your partner but trying out something different is not a bad idea. You might actually realize that that could be both your new sports and add it to your routine as a couple. Just adding some spice to your life as life gets so busy and you tend to lose the magic along the way. This is the time to hit that button and start anew.

       4. Check out Groupon and try some new classes together

There are a bunch of classes going on around your area. You just have to explore it and make use of the discounted rates Groupon or living social has to offer. Dates doesn’t always have to be fancy anyway. It will be nice not to think about dressing up for a date right? Just staying low key is the key!

       5. If you want something fancy. Try doing a Dinner Cruise Together.

I know us ladies, we always have that spot in our heart were we wish we have a Mr. Grey to pick us up and take us to a date of our romantic dreams. This is a way romantic as you are dining while cruising on what river you have in your are, you wearing your prettiest outfit and being serenaded as well.

I hope I was able to add something good on your list. Thank you for stopping by.

Simply,

Christianne

How I Manage Blogging, Work and Being a Mom

How I Manage Blogging, Work and Being a Mom?

Hello friends, Today, I want to share how I navigate the juggling act of blogging, a full-time job, and my roles as a wife and mom – a topic frequently asked by readers, followers, and coworkers. Let’s debunk the myth right away: I’m no superwoman. What makes it work is the incredible support from my family, especially my husband, who happily doubles as my designated photographer, understanding my passion for fashion.

Prioritization and Organization:

The ultimate key is prioritization and organization. While it can be overwhelming at times, family always comes first. If you don’t see a blog post during those hectic moments, it’s because family priorities take precedence.

A Peek into My Week:

I work Monday to Friday as a Physical Therapist with a flexible schedule. I prefer early starts to leave early and pick up the kids. Our meal plan, crafted since moving to the US, is a joint effort. Lucky for me, my husband takes on the cooking duties.

Mom Duties:

As a mom, evenings are a whirlwind of activities – from bathing the kids to prepping for the next day. Weekends are dedicated to quality time, including movie nights and accompanying my daughter to gymnastics and dance classes.

Wife Responsibilities:

Date nights are a priority, especially with my father-in-law’s help. When not possible, we enjoy cozy movie nights. Playing in a band together strengthens our bond, and breakfast is a daily ritual, just the two of us.

Balancing Blogger Life:

Balancing the blogger aspect involves strategic Instagram posts during the day. I aim to blog on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, often working on weekends. Busy weekends involve household chores, Sunday school trips, and occasionally, extra work on Saturdays. Planned photoshoots depend on weather conditions.

Gratitude for Support:

Attempting to juggle it all wouldn’t be possible without my husband’s support. It’s not about having a partner exactly like mine, but having someone willing to lend a hand is invaluable.

I hope this sheds light on how I manage these various roles. Wishing you all a joyful week ahead, and thank you for stopping by and being part of this journey!

Simply,

Christianne
